I'm a California girl, through and through. That means I love people in all their shapes and sizes, colors and sounds. From anywhere on the globe. That feeling probably started when I lived in Greece as a child. I still enjoy traveling the world whenever I get the chance, making memories Canon-style as I go.

I've been reinventing myself as long as I can remember. Trained as a journalist, over the years I've been a corporate employee and entrepreneur, author and education writer, decorator and even a construction worker! If there's something I want to accomplish, I find out how and then do it! I'm grateful to my great husband and two beautiful daughters for putting up with all my nonsense.

My interest in photography blossomed as soon as I purchased my first Minolta SLR in my teens. I taught myself to develop film and make prints in my converted bathroom-darkroom. What magic to see the images appear in the solution! The switch to digital came gradually and naturally as computerized technologies became the norm.

Though I've been shooting most of my life, I'm always eager to try out a new approach or technique. Thats why I'm an active member of a great group, the Professional Photographers of Sacramento Valley, as well as their state parent, Professional Photographers of California. The education and camaraderie help keep my skills on the cutting edge.
